Throughout my career, I have focused on developing and implementing business plans, including new product development while consciously steering sales growth and profitability. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, I started my career as a Junior Accountant for G&C Industries. This gave me a taste of business operations and a feel for how a successful business implements growth strategies. While I was at G&C, one of the owners and I sold hot tubs and sunrooms and I saw an opportunity to provide a better product line and I launched Skytech Systems with an initial sunroom product line and developed the dealer network. This dealer network grew annual revenue from the ground floor to $20+ million in 10 years. The concept was to improve the customer experience by providing quality products and ensured 100% delivery on time. In 1997, I sold Skytech to Traco Inc. and took a new role with Guardian Industries as the Regional Sales Director. One of the hallmarks of my selling style is the use of consultative selling, which was pioneered and then introduced company-wide at Guardian. The success stories at Guardian are numerous and they include achieving the #1 profit-producing region five years running. In 2009, I was recruited to run Kane / Sterling Mfg. Co as the General Manager and Sales Manager. The company was in transition and needed strong management. This challenging role combined sales management with executive leadership to generate new business while also putting solid business practices into place.
