Career vitals: - BS in Chemical Engineering from Rowan University, 2008 - MBA w/a concentration in management from Rowan University, 2017 - 14+ years manufacturing experience polymers and additives - 12+ years ISO management I grew up in the South Jersey 'burbs and Glassboro's Rowan University was a fantastic fit for my academic strengths and engineering ambitions. Rowan's clinic-centric engineering program taught me the benefits of working in multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems. I started my professional career at Polyvel in Hammonton, NJ during the spring of 2008 after interning for a few months. Through a path of tech service and QC, I reached a position where I managed multiple customer accounts, handled sales activities in domestic and international areas, and coordinated Polyvel's ISO 9001 compliance including an upgrade in standards from 9001:2008 to 9001:2015. I was awarded with a MBA from Rowan University in January of 2017. I'm especially proud of this degree because it was completed without missing any time at Polyvel (long nights, weekends, and online) and while starting a family. Immediately following this I started my role as Polyvel's Quality & Engineering Manager guiding engineering direct reports for process and product improvements. I still maintained close contact with all important customers on the technical services front. In 2021 I was promoted in Director of Operations, where my focus shifted significantly towards Polyvel's manufacturing efficiencies and safety. I've developed a strong network of polymer manufacturers, additive and chemical manufacturers, and regulatory agencies over my career at Polyvel. In early 2022 I transitioned to the Coriell Institute for Medical Research in Camden, NJ. This represents a significant shift in industries, but my problem solving skills and history of quality and safety awareness are being put to great use. In this position I manage our quality and safety departments for all biobanking and support operations. Coriell's mission is to accelerate scientific discovery by generating world-class biomaterials and conducting groundbreaking research in biobanking, personalized medicine, and stem cell biology.
