Debbie Leader

Debbie Leader is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years’ experience working in not-for-profit, banking and agribusiness. She holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics, a Diploma of Business Marketing, and specialist training in Executive Leadership. In 2020, Debbie was 1 of only 30 senior marketers selected to be a Marketing Academy Australia Scholar, receiving one-to-one mentoring and executive coaching. As Head of Marketing at the McGrath Foundation, Debbie has grown and developed a high-performing team to deliver award-winning strategic marketing programs. She re-positioned the McGrath Foundation at a brand level and led significant revenue growth with the Virtual Pink Seat Campaign, contributing $5 million over two years. In 2021, her team received the AMI Marketing Excellence Award for Not-for-Profit Campaign of the Year and the Excellence Award for Campaign of the Year. Across 12 years at Westpac, Debbie progressed through the ranks to Head of Westpac and the Westpac Group Brand. She led a group of eight, increasing brand consideration and was instrumental in launching the Westpac Bicentennial Foundation. She is an empathetic leader who genuinely understands her team and respects their values. She is proactive, open, supportive, and authentic - guided by solid integrity and constant growth.
