My objectives are to become, whether through education or business, involved in the education and growth of area youth and to discover means by which they can be exposed to worldly knowledge. It is not enough to talk about youth programs, and then not respond to opportunities to assist when asked. I would like to become more involved in activities involving veterans as well. As a US Army veteran, I know that I have personally contributed to maintaining the freedom that is constantly being threatened. I also know that I must continue to do whatever I can to honor those who have given their lives to maintain that freedom that we hold dear. It is not enough to talk about how much we appreciate our veterans when we ignore opportunities to assist them. We must be willing participants in our collective progress and not just have an interest in our personal growth and recognition.
