My skills and experience working with children diagnosed with autism and developmental disabilities, will significantly complement your program by providing the necessary support that enables students to achieve their educational and functional goals in an inclusionary environment. My ability to work well with others allows for smooth implementation of functional behavior assessments, positive behavior intervention support and collaborative creative teaching experiences. For example, implementation of interventions has positively impacted present, as well as past clients by keeping them engaged and excited about learning. My strength lies in the ability to recognize and examine the conditions in which deficits occur within the classroom experience, and developing the solution that best matches the student’s learning style while fulfilling the mandated educational requirements and standards. The ability to collaborate with other members of the educational team is a necessary and compelling skill to ensure the success of this position meets the diverse learning needs of your individual students. I have demonstrated that the fundamental aspects of a collaborative approach to teaching, exposing students to the benefits of a multi-dimensional approach to education. By providing an adaptive curriculum that meets not only educational standards but allows for purposeful functional educational learning experiences for each student embraces my philosophy in keeping students engaged and excited about learning, supporting them in developing and continuing to build upon mastered skills that are essential to live full and functionally productive lives. I believe that anyone can enroll in a program to become a teacher. However, I believe it takes a special person to educate while connecting personally with students. This person must encompass a special passion and commitment to help each individual child find their way through their unique educational maze.
