DeOndra Fletcher

By peers and colleagues, I am known to be an exemplar student-scholar as well as a person of tremendous character. Continuously superseding expectations, I value demonstrating a stellar maturity level, significant leadership skills, and true compassion. Beginning my undergraduate studies at Georgia State University, I highlight my experience as a dedicated campus leader, fulfilling leadership positions in my University chapter of NAACP, Student Housing, Chi Alpha Christian Ministries and local Big Brother Big Sister chapter. Seeking to accept greater opportunities, I joined the College Volunteer program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, trail-blazed a holistic care motivational blog and transferred to the prestigious Chamberlain University to complete my pursuit in obtaining a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, where I now serve as the Student Body President. My dedication to aiding community is impressive and is truly a testament to my desire to enhance the delivery of quality nursing care for patients and families. This is particularly evident by my participation in community missions in Ludwigslust, Germany and Blueprint Summer Program at the University of Florida in 2016 as a resident nursing aide leader. Through my personal and academic experiences, my passion has inevitably favored Children's and Women's Health, as I was not predicted to live past 5 years old. My testimony ignites my dedication to become a Registered Nurse and fulfill my purpose by paying it forward.
