To me, failure signals a new beginning and I have employed this approach to overcome adversity throughout my 24+ years’ experience in retail and hospitality industries. To pursue my passion in the hospitality industry, I completed a Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Subsequently, I commenced my career in the same, gaining exposure to several facets of it including facilities management. My passion combined with my education allowed me to build a successful career across retail and hospitality domains. Several successes were achieved in the form of establishing and scaling-up operations of malls, transitioning properties from construction to launch stages, and implementing operations excellence initiatives. I have worked with several reputed organisations in the real estate and hospitality sectors including Taj Hotels, CBRE India, Amanora Town Centre, and others. Currently, I am the General Manager of Oman Avenues Mall. Here, in addition to, managing P&L of the mall, I devise strategic plans to improve its operational efficiency. New beginnings include: ★ Growing monthly revenue of mall by converting vacant space into movie theatre ★ Reducing operational costs by introducing energy conservation/saving measures ★ Generating positive PR for the mall through cause-related marketing events Pursuing adventure sports, travelling, and trying new cuisines help me unwind.
