My goal is to continue learning as a medical professional, in hopes that my skills in out-patient surgery, Vitals signs monitoring, Anesthesia Assistant, O.R. Assistant/Circulator, 4 lead EKG monitor tech, aseptic technique, patient services, knowledge of and functions of the human body, anatomy and physiology, and my hands-on experience with medical office procedures and problem solving, would add value to anyone's medical team. Preferably as an Orthopedic Technician or O.R. Assistant.I recently earned my degree in Medical Assisting from San Joaquin Valley College. I earned my medical assisting certification in 2011 and focused my skills in the OR as a circulator and assistant during facial reconstruction cases. I was also awarded the position of lead technician in 2009 by Dr. Monroe E. Harris, MD, DMD. In 1994 I was awarded two blue chip awards from the U.S. NAVY for excellence in patient care. My dedication to patient care landed me an offer to contribute my skills of patient care to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. As a medical assistant student, I was able to utilized the skills learned and implement those skills in my daily routine as a Facial Surgical Assistant. My education in human diseases and abnormalities helped extend the knowledge already attained through previous CE course and helped with the diagnoses and treatment of abnormal growths, infections and diseases of the dermis, upper and lower jaw, facial bones, skull, glands and thyroids.
