With 10 years of experience in this field my intention is to provide safety and security with a smile. Though security is serious business a large part of what I do is provide stellar customer or client service. Under my leadership, your security team will learn how to be proactive not reactive and how to be a visual and audio deterrent before having to institute any physical actions. It is key to develop and implement security protocols, procedures and contingencies base on your specific site needs Though a lot of my recent experience is in the field of security, the work and purpose in this field is quite similar. Leading our youth to behave and conduct themselves in a reasonable and respectable manner, contributes to the safety of the school. Our youth are and will always be the future of this world and with all of the distractions from various platforms, the traumas and anguish that some of them deal with on the daily basis, it is our job to guide, assist and in some cases mentor our youth so that they are able to see the brightness they hold within. While working at my alumni high school I was able to co found a young men and young women mentorship. B.O.N.D (Brothers On a New Direction) & L.O.E (Ladies of Elegance) combined both high school and middle school students in a Big Brother/Big Sister effort to teach community as well as culture, ethics and responsibility. I also assisted the senior students prepare for their collegiate quest. As a young adult I attended a weekly Saturday program at the Schomburg Library called the Junior Scholars Program (JSP). The purpose of the program was to teach responsibility, respect and true black culture. It also helped to cultivate minds and show how impactful we are to the future as both individuals and a collective cohesive unit. This program also unlocked my passion for acting led me to be mentored and taught by the late Chadwick Boseman. After his sudden passing, myself along with a couple of his former students came together and wrote, produced, and acted in a short film Can You See Me (https://youtu.be/TniB0AAzCRc) as a tribute to him.
