Graduating from Columbia College Chicago with a major in Broadcast Journalism in 2009 proved to be a very difficult time for all graduates to find a job. After struggling for 3 years and only getting the opprotunity to work in my field for 10 months, with Bill Kurtis Productions, I decided to continue my education. Instead, I took a whole new route, the medical field. I've always had the heart to help others while in mental or physical pain. So I decided to follow my next passion... Nursing. The courses so far have proven to be difficult and time consuming, but it has given me more strength and has fed into my ultimate goal; I want to be apart of Nursing Across Boarders or Red Cross. Perhaps this will be my calling card. Perhaps I can become a nurse, travel the world helping others and maybe even have an ongoing blog about my experiences and become a journalist in the medical field. I am unsure of what my future holds for me, but I am sure that as long as I keep my chin up and my passion holds strong, I will be able to grab my dreams by the horns...one day.
