Devin Cox

I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education, with a concentration in Mathematics and a minor in Psychology. I worked for Detroit Edison for two summers through an internship program, and developed many business management skills throughout my time there. I led groups of interns and took the lead on numerous projects. My experience at DTE has been a great addition to my overall performance in the math/business world. I then continued on to do my student teaching at Dexter High School, teaching math. I was employed the year after at Lapeer East High School, where I taught Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry. I also was in charge of an after school math tutoring program that helped kids pass Algebra I. The next year I moved to Grosse Pointe North High School. I teach algebra I and algebra II, grades 9 and 11. I teach an algebra I special education class, which has helped me to form new strategies of teaching to all different students.
