Diana is a Physiotherapist and researcher. She received her BApp.Sc. Physiotherapy degree from USyd. And worked clinically in Australia and the UK where she undertook her MSc. After managing the Neurology team at the Royal London and the Community Physiotherapy team in Edinburgh she returned to Australia and took a research job in Canberra. After completing a PhD in 2011 she became the clinical research coordinator for the Trauma and Orthopaedic Research unit at Canberra Hospital and the ANU. Her current role involves leading clinical research in Orthopaedics at the Canberra Hospital and ANU medical school. Her role involves conceiving, designing and managing research projects with students, colleagues and collaborators. Diana has academic roles at ANU and UC: she is an Associate Professor at ANU and an adjunct Professor at UC. She is associate director of HDR at ANU medical School and is actively involved with teaching medical students and supervising student research projects at the ANU medical school (medical students, MPhil and PhD) and also physiotherapy students at the University of Canberra. The Trauma and Orthopaedic Research Unit is primarily interested in knee and hip arthroplasty and fracture trauma research. Diana is active on the scientific subcommittee of the ACTH Human Ethics committee, ANU Medical School Research, Admission and Research Project committees. She stepped down as convenor of the advanced research project course this year. Diana is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and past president of ACT Branch council, the Australia and New Zealand Orthopaedic Research Society and the Australia and New Zealand Orthopaedic Network.
