Diane Gasko

I am a Registered Nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. I graduated from Villanova University's accelerated BSNExpress Program. I am able to provide patient and family centered care at an advanced level and I have been educated in evidence-based practice as well as in a graduate level research course. I have learned to conduct extensive literature reviews and how to construct a research proposal to help expand the knowledge base to improve patient care outcomes. Prior to my nursing education, I was a volunteer EMT, substitute teacher, and a teaching assistant for high school anatomy labs. Through these experiences, I developed interprofessional communication skills, gained leadership experience; and became skilled in the prioritization of patient care in critical situations.
