I am currently working as a senior developer for Company X, a software development company. I have worked in the IT sector as a developer for more than 30 years using a variety of programming languages. I enjoy learning new technologies which helps to keep abreast with the ever changing IT landscape. Full-stack web development is what I enjoy most, where I can utilise my broad skill-set. My greatest satisfaction comes from using my technical skills to make a difference in a business outcome. My favorite tech stack is serverless cloud technology (Azure and AWS) on the backend and React on the Front-end. As a side line I am involved in teaching and mentoring students who work towards a diploma in full stack web development. The technology stack for this course is: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python with Flask and Django frameworks. Having used UNIX early in my career, I was an early adopter of Linux, which was a good foundation for using Virtual Machines and container technologies. I also enjoy programming single board computers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, which I have used in a strawberry weighing system. Specialties: Typescript/JavaScript, Angular, Cypress, Python, NodeJS, MySql, Mongo, Django and Docker My wife and I love discovering new places with a focus on Australia.
