As Shift Manager i fills a mid-management role in retail, fast food or manufacturing settings and are responsible for overseeing a group of workers. Assigning tasks, assess job performance, meet with managers to discuss production goals and outline these goals to shift workers. I make and adjust work schedules, ensure adequate staff numbers during vacations or days off, and coordinate training for new hires. I also ensure that workers are adhering to company, as well as state and federal, safety rules and regulations. I have been responsible for arranging training schedules for new and existing employees and assisting managers in creating and presenting company goals to shift workers. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, I have been able for form effective working relationships with Store Managers and other shift managers as well as outside vendors, delivery personnel and sales representatives.
