Dominik Hrebik

I am Ph.D. student at Masaryk university in a Pavel Plevka's group of structural virology. My research is focused on structural description of genome release from virion and its delivery across biological membrane into host cytoplasm. I am using combination of Cryo-Electron Microscopy and X-ray crystallography to describe structures, and functions of viruses and proteins. I have experience both in dry lab, and wet lab. Before joining structural virology group, I was a member of NMR group where I gained experience in NMR spectroscopy of biomolecules. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite part of the project is work with electron microscope (FEI Titan Krios, Tecnai F20) and "dry lab" work.
