About

After 10 years in the house construction industry I went back to school receiving a undergraduate BSc with honors in 2008 from Acadia University in NS, Canada. Two summer interships during my undergraduate years at Jefferson Lab, Newport News, VA and at TRIUMF in Vancouver, Canada, started me on a quantitative research trajectory. Received PhD in particle physics from the University of Virginia in 2015 on a successful experiment that published the first determination of the proton's weak charge. My Ph D research required learning multiple computing languages including low level languages like C/C++ and ROOT, as well as scripting languages (bash) and proprietary software such as LabVIEW. My most recent position at Temple University has continued to hone my quantitative research skills as well as giving me experience leading a group of graduate and undergraduate students in their research programs. Most recently, I have had the interesting experience of teaching introductory engineering physics at Temple University.
