M.A. In History Ph.D in History Experienced journalist Highly experienced teacher of English as an Additional Language, London. From April 1988 until August 2013, I worked as a qualified teacher of English as an Additional Language (EAL) in Regent High School in London where I taught KS3/KS4/KS5 students. Besides teaching English as a second language to the students of all three aforementioned key stages, I also taught Citizenship course to the KS4 and KS5 students at the same school. As well as teaching discrete lessons to the students struggling with English language, I had to provide in-class support in the mainstream lessons where the large part of the students was from different ethnic backgrounds. Before joining the Regent High School, I worked as a journalist in Dhaka from 1970 until 1976 in two national English language newspapers. During that period I also compiled the editorial comments of the daily newspapers published from Dhaka for broadcasting on the national radio. Between 1987 and 1988 I worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of International and Strategic Studies. While researching on a project at the institute titled ''SAARC-ASEAN Cooperation,'' I was selected to travel ASEAN countries with the Chairman to interview the relevant ministers of various ministries in those countries.
