Finite element analysis of soil structure interaction problems and detailed ground movement assessment resulting from bridges, shafts, roads, pavements, basement excavations and multi-storey structures including effects on railway structures. Design of retaining walls including sheet piles, secant piles, contiguous piles, ground anchors, soil nails, reinforced earth and value engineering options for the retaining wall construction. Design of lateral piles, group piles – the assessment of the most appropriate pile type, design, control of pile installation. Assessment of stability of cuttings, slopes, ground movements and providing geotechnical sustainable solutions. Earthworks and ground improvements including grouting, vibro stone columns, application of natural and manmade fibres. Providing assurance of design quality and high standards. Aiming zero accident through design Prioritising sustainable and economical solutions in the design. Identifying risk and geotechnical hazards Reduce/eliminate the risk by adopting appropriate sustainable solutions and pass on the remaining risk to the contractor. Reviewing health and safety of construction workers, Identifying and recommending appropriate PPE suitable for the construction task. Excellent project, financial and time management skills.
