Duante' Brown

 Social Justice, LGBTQIA+ and Prevention Advocate contributing 10+ years’ experience in client services, policy creation, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention services. Motivated to help all individuals have access to support, resources, services, and income to achieve independence and positive health outcomes.  Created and implemented multiple LGBTQ community initiatives which were drivers for participants to receive testing in exchange for admission for events. (Ballroom Community and House sponsored events)  Organized and facilitated; On The Run: Ballroom Leadership Conference – which focused on individuals of the LGBTQIA+ community which covered topics such as HIV/AIDS, STI awareness & testing, homelessness, conflict resolution, policy development, mental illness and employment.  Created policies and procedures for best practices used to assist work as a case manager (managing case load of 75+ clients annually). Assisted with the implementation of public programs and grass root initiatives (Slay the Vote, HIV/AIDS testing sites in the DC area etc.)
