I am a director in the tax practice of PwC Turkey and am responsible of management of a portfolio of large clients mainly from retail and automotive, including companies listed in the stock exchange. I joined the firm after graduating from Bilkent University in 1996 and worked in the tax audit of various mid and large size Turkish subsidiaries of multinational groups across a wide range of sectors for about one year. In 1997 I went to United States to join the MBA program at San Diego State University. I restarted working in the firm in 2000. I have extensive experience in serving multinational companies in supporting them on tax compliance and advising on issues including but not limited to market entry, analysis of business structure, financing decision, reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions and exit. My relevant expertise area: - All aspects of Turkish accounting and tax issues with emphasis on retail and automotive industries,- Tax due diligence and advice for structuring - Cross border tax issues
