Ed Laubach

I am a shareholder at Gray Plant Mooty, cochair of the firm’s Real Estate practice group, and concentrate my practice in construction law, alternative dispute resolution, and land use matters. My construction practice includes the negotiation and preparation of contracts for design professionals and contractors. I represent parties through the construction project, including assisting them with changes to the construction contract, performance issues, claims for extras, and defective construction claims. My clients include owner/developers, design professionals, general contractors, and subcontractors. I represent parties in all phases of dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and trials. I also have substantial experience in mechanic’s lien and bond claims. My real estate practice includes representing land owners in condemnation/eminent domain matters throughout the state. I have also represented clients in the Minnesota Tax Court in real estate tax litigation matters. I have completed advanced training and actively serve as an arbitrator and mediator on the American Arbitration Association’s construction and commercial law panels. I have spoken at industry and continuing legal education seminars on various construction law, alternative dispute resolution, and real estate tax law topics. I have been an attorney with Gray Plant Mooty since 1978. I am currently the managing officer of the St. Cloud office and also a member of the firm’s Board of Directors.
