I have been an attorney in Chicago for more than 25 years, representing commercial clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Most companies don't like litigation, and I help them understand the process, so -- together -- we can achieve the best results. Sometimes achieving our goals requires taking a case to trial. But more often than not, if we can identify the business goals and assess the needs of everybody involved, we can achieve the desired result by staying focused on what is important to the client and working as a team. In the past few years, I have become a strong advocate of submitting disputes to arbitration and mediation as a more efficient way to resolve business disputes. I have completed the Illinois State Bar Association 40-hour course on mediation and arbitration, and I currently serve as an Arbitrator for the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County (for cases not exceeding $75,000).
