Edgar Ferreira

I graduated in Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics area, in July 2007. My research activity was focused on software for systems integration, medical image processing and new approaches to data-mining by using clustering and optimization techniques. I am co-founder of BlueWorks - Ophthalmic Imaging Management Solutions, which envisions an empirical medicine, based on evidences, and supported by integration tools that simplify the gathering and analysis of data for objective decision-taking. I work on the application layer of OphthalSuite, a solution for data gathering and systems integration in Ophthalmology. Back in 2013 I completed a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at ISCTE-INDEG Business School in Lisbon. My areas of interest are medical technology, software, artificial intelligence systems, image processing and IT entrepreneurship.
