Edmund Luong

Edmund is an software engineer, advocate, consultant, solutions analyst, devops engineer, database administrator and overall tinkerer and builder of things. Passionate in all things related to technology/software/programming, Edmund regularly advises/consults and shares his expertise globally with enterprise/Fortune 500 companies (such as Apple, Bell, Starbucks, Ericsson) in North America, South America and Europe. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Edmund has been involved in leading/architecting/developing multiple SaaS products that are alumni of startup incubators such as Morrissette Accelerator and Propel Entrepreneurship in London, Ontario, Canada. In 2021, Edmund joined Tyk as a Consulting Engineer where he advises/advocates/solutions/consults internationally with diverse enterprise customers on their technical journeys with software architecture and API management. In 2017, Edmund helped found Eighty8 Ventures, a venture studio that invests in early-startups by providing software services and strategic advisory in lieu of capital. Eighty8 is a quasi-VC firm for pre/seed stage tech companies that works with founders as collaborative, hands-on partners. Leading the tech team at Eighty8, Edmund helps bring ideas to life and has extensive experience interfacing and consulting with clients to identify/gather software requirements and transform ideas into implementations. He has architected/developed/deployed several software projects from the ground up and continuously works on growing and maintaining production-grade applications to maximize user experience and product success.
