The global pandemic has put the travel industry into an abrupt standstill last year. As time progressed, the pandemic, and the political instability of the region may translate into a slow recovery of the tourism industry. Nonetheless, my passion of showing Hong Kong to the tourists will always be there. After seeing my background, it is a bit eclectic, with experiences in different continents. My experience of being a tour guide is more like a career capstone so far. It was not uncommon to have unexpected situations while being on tour, so I had to improvise and implement alternatives immediately to ensure the tour would go smoothly with minimal interruptions. The personal knowledge and experiences accumulated over the years was proved beneficial. Also, I have experiences in planning and customizing destination travel itineraries for most of my clients, after receiving the requirements and budgets from them. Also, I collaborated with other travel professionals from around the world as well, in creating tours for their clients. I am not limiting myself to the travel and tourism industry, but a position that can offer challenging tasks that can also incorporate my unique skillset would be a great match. From a recruiter's perspective, my strongest experiences are logistics and retailing management; however, my adaptability and having a highly transferable skillset may open new doors as well.
