Edwin Ranes

Having studied Bachelors in Automotive and Mechanical Engineering at Glyndwr University, I am now looking for an engineering job to further my knowledge in the industry and gain key experience. During my time at Glyndwr I have acquired knowledge of using various engineering software’s such as Solidworks, Creo, Ansys and Ricardo Wave. During my second year one of the projects was to design a Suspension Rocker using Solidworks, and convert it to Ansys to be simulated for CFD. I have also used Ansys for simulating a simply supported beam as well as a NACA aerofoil and a computer axial cooling fan. In my final year project I have used Ricardo Wave to simulate and tune a Formula Student 600cc Suzuki GSXR Engine. Having studied Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair for three years at Crosskeys College South Wales and achieving my NVQ National Certificate, I have the passion and love for the mechanical and automotive industry and being in college and university gave me the insight of how to work in a professional manner.
