Eileen McKendry-Gray

I act as General Counsel in industry, helping the organisations I work in with all legal matters relating to strategy and governance. My principal area of expertise is commercial contracts and business services with a particular emphasis on intellectual property and technology. I love all things creative. The general business areas which I regularly cover are agency, distribution, product development and manufacturing, software development, branding, IP cross licensing (particularly in projects involving data sharing or different forms of copyright in media), corporate IP restructuring, outsourcing, creative e-projects and e-commerce, research and development collaboration and regulatory (competition law, data protection and FCA relating to investments and electronic money). I provide consultancy services with regard to strategy for registration of trade marks and designs. I draft, file, prosecute and defend trade mark applications for clients at the UK, EU and WIPO intellectual property registries, and work with foreign lawyers, in other cases. I help to ring-fence protect and enforce clients' intellectual property. I also supply specialist input to corporate transactions and restructuring where intellectual property issues arise.
