Eirik Vinje

Partner in the law firm Garmann Mitchell. Specialised in the areas of finance, corporate, contract negotiation, insolvency and litigation. Experience as board member and control committee member as well as tutor and examiner at the Faculties of Law at the Universities of Oslo and Tromsø. Eirik has worked with Legislation Department in the Ministry of Justice. He utilised this experience as advisor in consultation processes for new legislation. Main clients within financial institutions, maritime industries, medical technology. Specialties: Finance law, contract negotiations and drafting, litigation, shareholder disputes, insolvency negotiations for creditors and debtors, cases related to the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority. Vinje has published a book on Guarantee Law, Tolking av garantier i forretningsforhold, Universitetsforlaget 1999 ("Interpretation of Business Guarantees") in addition to several articles in legal publications. He is writing regularly for several Norwegian newspapers and publications.
