Elaina Murphy

I am a third year Honors Mechanical Engineering student at Northeastern University with a minor in Environmental Science. I recently completed an 8 month co-op as a Construction Project Coordinator at Takeoff Technologies Inc. In this role I had the opportunity to communicate with clients, review design drawings, and oversee construction projects in order to develop microfulfillment grocery centers. This role gave me an exciting opportunity to expand upon my real-world engineering skills. Additionally I have taken courses in thermodynamics, mechanics of materials, dynamics, statics, material science, and environmental science, as well as science and math pre-requisites. I studied for a month in India and Nepal in the summer of 2019, where I learned about climate change science and engineering in a global context. I am a passionate and motivated student, participating in various clubs such as American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, and No Limits Dance Crew where I work as the treasurer.
