Elijah Anakalea-Buckley

WHAT IVE DONE: I have been volunteering with the voyaging canoe Makalii since 2011. I worked for 4 years with "SHYLI", meaning Sustainable Hawaii Youth Leadership Initiative which helps the youth of Hawaii and other states to be the best they can while helping to tackle sustainable problems. I am currently enrolled at Norther Arizona University and pursuing an applied computer science degree. I have also worked with Lowell Observatory's Astrophysical Materials Lab to recreate and update their testing user interface for the Ice Lab. This client was set up through the university's capstone experience to give us "real-life" experience and a type of internship. GOALS: My goal for my career is to enter the web, mobile or data development field. I have a bit of history in this field and believe it is the one I will prevail in the most. I choose applied computer science because it have a bit more options for the core classes and I am now able to choose those that focus more on my goal. After doing so I plan to work in Phoenix or California because of the industry growth and help my family and community back home whenever I can after I am settled into my career.
