Being born and raised in Venice it’s a real privilege, an extraordinary opportunity to live a daily life made of millenary history, culture of hospitality, dialogue between religions and identities. My family also contributed to such a strongly cosmopolitan DNA: I was lucky enough to have an Italian father and a German mother, who is daughter of Swiss woman and grew up trilingual as a result. I’ve been enrolled in the Faculty of Political Science and History (Bachelor) at the Johann Wolfgang-Goethe Universität in Frankfurt, where I graduated on march 2020. During my university career, I focused especially on European Migration-Policy and wrote my Bachelor Thesis also on the German and Italian political manoeuvres.During my studies I tried to follow courses focused on Europe and International Relations, both in the political and cultural-historical fields. In my fourth semester I took part in the seminar "Die Europäische Union: Krise und Perspektiven" (The European Union: Crisis and Perspectives) led by Prof. Dr. Gunter Hellmann. We discussed in depth the role of Europe from its foundation to the present day, maintaining our focus on migration, international relations and integration. This course ended with an excursion to the European Capital of Brussels, during which I had the opportunity to meet various representatives and personalities, including the vicar of Federica Mogherini's cabinet, Oliver Rentschler, with whom I was able to discuss topics such as European foreign policy (EU Global Strategy) or security policy. This experience has given me a better understanding of what a fundamental strategic role the European Union plays in the world political arena and how important it is, especially in the light of the current identity crisis with the consequent increase in sovereign movements, to believe and invest in it in order to ensure its future. In May 2019 I took part at a Laboratory of Intercultural Communication, Passing the exam in intercultural mediation at the University Ca' Foscari (Venice). This course gave me the opportunity to have a greater awareness of the foreign interlocutors with whom I came and will come into contact, following the many trips undertaken thanks to my parents especially in the Mediterranean area.I had the opportunity to visit the past editions of the Biennale of Art and Architecture of Venice, which have aroused a strong interest in me for contemporary art.
