Elizabeth (Betsy) Casey

Elizabeth (“Betsy”) Casey is a hands on leader with over 15 years of experience leading cross functional network strategies, directing provider relations and developing value based payment programs. Betsy has blended strategic innovation and business acumen to support the growth and sustainability of local Medicaid plans nationwide. Betsy brings expertise in the full range of the network leadership role—from value-based programs to provider reimbursement, contracting/credentialing and market research/analysis. During her tenure with UnitedHealthcare (UHC), Betsy has been recognized for her “boundless energy” and ability to “find solutions” for the plan and its state partners. She is known as a collaborative leader who unites key stakeholders around a common vision and steers multidisciplinary teams to deliver breakthrough projects on time and budget. Betsy has also revitalized struggling departments by matching talent to task, setting clear expectations and standardizing processes to drive exceptional performance. Currently, Betsy is Director of Value-Based Strategy and Provider Payment Innovation for UnitedHealth Networks National Government Programs Team. She also serves as a national subject matter expert to support the development of RFP value-based program responses for UHC Community Plans.
