I have always held the belief that what we do matters, people matter, the relationships we build, and the communities that evolve from this matters. It matters because well, its human-centered and if we can create an environment that fosters creativity, growth, innovation and sustainability then I want to be front and center. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to pursue my calling by completing my BS in Building and Construction Studies. I look to further my studies in the MS program in Urban Strategy with a long term goal of working as a strategic advising consultant to shape tomorrow's cities. My personal and professional goals are far beyond the physical structures themselves. It's being able to assess a situation, identify the risks or challenges involved and provide the best strategy to better serve our communities and cities around the world. When I am not working on my educational goals, I dedicate my time to being a better athlete. This year marked many firsts for me as I confronted many fears in the gym and in the water. Being an athlete continues to shape me professionally and personally because it nurtures a level of patience, determination, and discipline; character traits that will make me successful at anything I put my mind to.
