Elizabeth Mesa Munera

I am a Mechanical Engineer and Magister in Systems Engineering. I am highly motivated in the development, coordination and management of solar and wind power generation projects, energy commercialization and strategic planning. I enjoy interdisciplinary teamwork, achievement oriented leader, persistent, creative, interested in constant learning and concerned for contributing to the development and sustainability of the organization based on my experience, acquired knowledge, methodologies and good disposition. Over ten years of experience, innitially from the point of view of a researcher and teacher, later from the perspective of project manager and supervisor and currently as a project leader. The main topics on which my experience and knowledge focuses are: strategic planning, coordination of work teams, renewable energies, energy efficiency & ESCOS (Energy Services Companies), structuring of energy businesses in Latin America, market analysis, establishment of alliances and agreements with local and international companies, identification of financing sources, risk analysis, estimation of greenhouse gas emissions, management of intellectual property, innovation and technological road maps. In the last 9 years I have worked as EPM's professional, at first for the Development and Innovation Department, later for the Vice Presidency of Corporate Strategy at EPM's Group and currently, at the Power Generation Planning Directorate, being today the team leader of non-conventional renewable energies (solar and wind), with over 20 professionals from various disciplines. Previously, I had the opportunity to work at the Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia (EIA University), the University of Alberta (Canada) and the National University of Colombia.
