Elizabeth Perez

Elizabeth Pérez is a University of California Davis alumni who is currently enrolled as a graduate student in Claremont Graduate University. Growing up as a first generation student, daughter of Mexican immigrant parents, Elizabeth decided at an early age she would dedicate her life towards improving educational opportunities for underserved youth. From an early age Elizabeth has participated in various forms of community activism regarding immigration and education reform. Her degrees in Anthropology, Spanish and Master of Arts in Education, are indicative of her philosophical approach surrounding issues among underserved communities. Currently she is under the process of clearing her multi-subject/education specialist credentials. She hopes to continue her path in academia, striving for less restrictive and a more holistic curriculum.
