Ellen Buttrick MBE

As a Paralympic, World and European Rowing Champion I strive for high performance in all areas of my life. Having competed in elite sport since 2018 I was an integral member of the GB Rowing Team's Mixed Coxed Four, the fastest qualifying crew for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and current World Record Holders. Alongside a successful career in elite sport I am also passionate about empowering others and work regularly with organisations which share my values of fairness, equality and opportunity for all. During my first season in the GB Rowing Team I worked for the Refugee Council, completed a voluntary internship with the British Red Cross and achieved a Gold medal at the World Rowing Championships, just 3 months after joining the Performance Squad. I am a goal oriented individual who enjoys a challenge and I am most successful when I am delivering something that empowers others.
