Ellie Forgan

I am a caring, courageous and compassionate Counselling professional, who brings a breadth of life experience to each role. Having completed my PG Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in June 2018; graduating in August 2018, I continue to work towards my BACP accreditation through my evening work at the University of Edinburgh Counselling Services. I am passionate about working with children and young people and adult survivors of sexual violence in various settings, supporting them to feel safer, experience more healing and thrive in their lives. I believe in the power of reciprocal, compassionate relationships which include a relationship with the natural world and play. I thrive in the outdoors which is driven by my felt sense of healing within nature and understanding of reciprocity which informs the way I try to live, work and grow. I believe my recent Psychotherapy training to be of huge benefit to the way I work and relate to other people outside my counselling practice; taking a personal interest, listening, responding to individual needs and ensuring positive working relationships within the boundaries of time and funding. I am intuitive and creative worker continuing to walk her own path and taking learning opportunities in order to be of the greatest service to the clients I work alongside.
