Elodie Machler

I am a senior at Wake Forest University with a bachelor of science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. During my time at Wake Forest, I have been a member and the secretary of Kappa Beta Gamma, an undergraduate research assistant for a genetics lab, a contributing writer for Spoon University, and an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. I have spent my summers at a research internship at The Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey and more recently have shadowed doctors at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine's Department of Dermatology. These experiences have taught me the importance of organization as well as the value of teamwork and the ability to think on my feet in fast-paced environments. My goals are to either practice medicine as a physician's assistant or dietician, or go in another direction and work in publishing or an editorial field to pursue my love of writing. I am creative, personable, and passionate, and I believe that these traits combined with my analytical skills will allow me to succeed in a variety of areas.
