Employee Experience is the new Employee Engagement! Since my first job, as an assembly worker in the car industry, I have wanted to find the answer to a simple question: "How hard can it be to make employees feel good, even happy (!), at their workplace?" What is it that makes me say "Yay, it's Monday!" whilst someone else is dragging their feet out of bed? After 6.5 years of university studies and 10 years of working within HR, I've found out that it is NOT a simple question! BUT, I do have a lot of ideas and thoughts around the subject combined with knowledge in exciting scientific areas such as positive psychology, cognitive neuroscience and leadership. It is my absolute conviction, that instead of focusing on employee engagement, we need to look on the more holistic view. Which is the journey that an employees takes when interacting with the organization. From that first message on LinkedIn (or reading a job ad) to the first 1-on-1 with the manager and company kick-off. In the end of the day, the quality of your employee experience is evident when an employee leaves the company and is asked to answer the question "would you recommend a friend to work here?". You want the answer to be: "Without a doubt! It's a great company!" Employee Experience is my passion, and I am happy to be able to work with this at Winningtemp.
