Emer Cully (Murphy)

A consummate Environmental Health professional, with a career spanning almost 10 years, I am passionate about food safety and environmental legislative issues. On completion of my Masters in Environmental Health and Safety Management, I discovered a gap in the industry for an easy to use tool of reference for business owners concerned with food hygiene. In response to this, I developed the world’s first seminal IOS application called “Safe Food Healthy Business”. The app was very well received, and provided the user with an easy to navigate framework for safe work practices in the food industry. My expertise in this field were noted and I was invited to guest speak at the World Congress for Environmental Health in 2014. I have enjoyed a very stable career in the Environmental Health Field, both as a practitioner and as a trainer. I am very adept in legislative requirements, both here in Australia and at home in Ireland. I am continuously seeking opportunities to further develop my career, and I am excited to work in an organisation that is solution focused and innovative. I can bring lots of academic knowledge with me to my new role, but with that I bring some very valuable personal traits. I am extremely gregarious by nature, and I love to work with people, and empower them to achieve. I am also very capable of working autonomously, and I believe I can shine in either environment.
