Emilio Garcia

Pretty much went straight into Marine Corps after High School and spent my "college years" there. Deployed to Iraq during the initial push in 2003 with 7th Marine Regiment. Then again in 2004 with 3rd Bn., 11th Mar. I was career oriented with the military but an unfortunate accident occurred that led me to be discharged without possibility of reenlistment. With the sudden change of career, i stepped into the first job that offered me a job. So i spent the next to years as an account manager and later as a Credit Manager dealing with incompetent staff and annoying clients at Rent-A-Center. Left the workforce to pursue a more suitable career (electronics). I realized down the line that school and I did not mix to well. Fortunately, i was at the right place at the right time and time, and was offered a position as an Outreach Specialist at the East Los Angeles Vet Center. Working with Veterans seemed to be feasible, since i myself am one and can relate to there situations, needs, and way of life. Been there ever since.
