Emily Goiricelaya

I'm a third-year student at the University of Central Florida pursuing degrees in Political Science, Advertising and Public Relations. I have experience working with political campaigns, non-profit organizations and online-publications — my passion lies in bridging the gap between activism, service and storytelling. While working as an Undergraduate Writing Consultant at UCF, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with students from all over the globe. My love for writing has only grown through this invaluable experience. I’ve been able to further develop my skills in the areas of analysis, research, organization and development. My work is dedicated to creating a community of writers with a focus on equity and diversity of thought at the university level. Working at the UWC has shaped me into a well-rounded and creative thinker ready to dive into any type of project and writing environment. As an aspiring public affairs and communications professional, I’m interested in broadening my expertise in the areas of copywriting, public relations, brand management, tech communications, public affairs and policy development. Outside of studying and work, I’m a lover of caffeine, croquetas and cooking. There’s nothing like a shot of cuban cafecito after a long day.
