Emily Harridge

Emily Harridge is an award-winning creative professional with experience across content creation, TV production, virtual reality, visual effects and social media. After working at Channel 9, Emily founded Visual Playground, a multi-award-winning recognised industry leader in visual effects and animation for over 15 years. Emily built Visual Playground and lead a creative team of over a dozen designers delivering everything from broadcast design, live-action, content production through to visual effects. Emily transitioned VP from television production into new technology domains, including virtual reality, augmented reality and experiential content creation. In 2018 Emily was brought in to establish the content division at eg+ Australia. Emily can combine deep production expertise to solve complex communication problems for well-known brands including NAB, Mazda, Fox Sports, Bayer, MLC, Warner Bros and EndemolShine Australia.Creativity combines solving tight production budget constraints to deliver award-winning communications. Emily's expertise across new platforms has seen Emily win global awards, including being a finalist in the Global VR Awards in London in 2018.The ability to integrate technology into creative concepts is a particular passion that Emily pursues in her work. Emily is an inspiring leader who can nurture talented designers; many of her previous members have gone on to run successful production companies.Emily is an elite performer with a current Australian indoor rowing record for her age group, was selected in the 2020 Victorian rowing masters crew, was a finalist in the 2021 World Indoor Rowing Championships and is on the committee of the South Melbourne Little Athletics Centre.Emily continues to push new technology industry initiatives as the co-founder of Real World VR a local VR/AR/MR events platform which continues to grow and attracts global speakers, including Google, Microsoft, HTC and many others to their inspiring events.
