Emily Laird

I am a laboratory generalist who is licensed nationally (ASCP) and in the state of California. I have experience in the departments of biochemical genetics, immunohematology (blood bank), hematology, chemistry, immunology, coagulation, microbiology and urinalysis. A few of my strong points are: great communication skills with both coworkers and physicians, attention to detail, the ability to handle stressful situations and quickly take on new roles when needed. I am always eager to learn new skills and continually strive to achieve goals. I have experience using all Microsoft office applications, Sunquest, Meditech and Cerner LIS systems. I also have experience with multiple types of laboratory instrumentation including, but not limited to: Agilent GCMS, Siemens Dimension series, Advia 120/2120, Coulter LH500 and 750, Galileo Echo, Stago STA Compact, Clinitek, Abbott Architect, blood bank Ortho gel and Vitros systems.
