Emma Cocks

I am a Solicitor experienced in commercial disputes, insurance law and litigation. I worked as a senior lawyer at Finlaysons Lawyers for a number of years before commencing an in-house position with MIGA. As part of my current role, I assist doctors, midwives and healthcare companies nationally with various matters, including civil proceedings, Coronial Inquests and disciplinary inquiries and regularly provide medico-legal advice on claims of negligence, health regulation and risk management issues. I graduated from Flinders University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honours) and a Bachelor of International Studies. In 2012, I obtained a Graduate Diploma in Public Health from the University of Sydney. I was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in June 2009 and subsequently to the High Court of Australia.
