Emma Scovill

I am a Technical Writer/Editor for Guzman & Griffin Technologies, Inc. I graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor's degree in English and political science. My English degree is concentrated in rhetoric and composition. I have had a love for reading and writing ever since I was in elementary school, while I grew a passion for politics during high school. I have worked in a variety of industries including education, marketing, nonprofit, and government. Each industry has taught me new skills and languages, which has allowed me to become adaptable. I can easily apply my skill sets from one industry to another. My current position with GGTI has provided me the opportunity to grow in my editing and writing skills. My position at Mosaic also bolstered my proofreading and creative writing skills, while my position with NCCJ Greater Dayton allowed me to grow my skills to include launching and managing a podcast. I researched, edited, and co-hosted Gem City Diversity. My position as the president of the University of Dayton's community on the Odyssey Online, where I managed a team of writers, edited articles, and wrote my own articles, helped to build my editorial and writing skills as well as become a team leader.
