I'm an Electronic Engineer with many years of experience across the industry ranging from hands-on PCB level and firmware to project management. Favourite Day: My prototype PCB arrives in, it powers up and my code can be downloaded - sweet! Least Favourite Day: The day just before the favourite day- the fear!! Here's brief summary of my skills and experience so far. • Design and development of microcontroller-based circuits with programming in Embedded C/Assembly, targeting a variety of Microchip, ST, SiLabs, Intel, Philips/NX and Raspberry Pi devices. • I have some Java/Kotlin (self-taught) for android and have developed basic APIs for MySQL in PHP and Python and I've written tools for excel in VBA. • My Electronic Design experience includes, but is not limited to, designing interfaces to mains and sensors, controlling actuators. I've always been fully involved in the entire design process from schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping and debug to final Gerber/BOM generation and manufacturing/test documentation. I've also designed a lot of testers for electronic manufacturing environments. • Operated within NPD/NPI environments incorporating DFM, DFT, Peer Reviews that followed ISO procedures. • Conducted project feasibility studies, including technical research, timescale and cost projections of potential products. • Interpretation and integration of UL/IEC standards into designs/test procedures. • Supported supply chain and manufacturing with component sourcing, costings and final BOM documentation. • Mentoring: Designed induction training programmes and provided on-going guidance for junior engineers and new hires. • Project Management: Extensive experience across multi-disciplined engineering teams including electronic/electrical, mechanical/mechatronic, software/firmware and optical/camera specialists. My interactions also involved the wider business teams of supply chain, manufacturing, QA, finance and senior management. I successfully completed the CMIT Project Management course that was a pre-qualifier for PMP certification. • I've been involved in the design and on-site commissioning of Automatic Inspection Systems onto filling/packaging lines in a wide variety of pharmaceutical companies in clean-room environments, including the design of control panels and PLC programming. This also included the design of custom enclosures, sensor mounting brackets, test fixtures. • Software Packages: Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, EasyPC, OrCAD, Protel, Pads, basic SolidWorks, etc.
