I began my career with Medtronic Spinal and Biologics in Chicago as an Associate Sales Rep for Medtronic Sofamor Danek back in 1999. Receiving the "Top Academic Achiever" in my training class, I was promoted to a full rep in Minneapolis. Three years later, I joined a distributor for Medtronic Spinal and Biologics (NuMed Technologies) in Kansas City. After my fifth year with Numed, I accepted a role as the New Technology Consultant with Medtronic. As more opportunities for management presented themselves in Texas, I relocated to Fort Worth where I currently reside, still with Medtronic Spinal and Biologics. The strengths that led me to the successes I have had are a strong clinical background, especially in spine. I attack my position more as a "surgical consultant" rather than a "Sales" person. I find that being a true partner with the surgeon means putting the patient first, the surgeon second, then the sale. My extroverted nature also serves me well in conversations with customers. My large geographic career history and current geography has also played a role by allowing me to see a wide variety of surgical techniques and thought. I enjoy solving "problems" and do not believe in a "no win" situation. I prefer to think outside the box to creatively come to a win win solution. I would like to continue my career in Medical sales and look forward to new challenges whether it be in spine or outside of spine.
