Eric Albers

My name is Eric Albers and I am a graduate student studying public policy at the University of Utah. This degree is adding data analysis skills to my repertoire while expanding my knowledge of public policy analysis. Currently, I am working as a graduate assistant at the Gardner Policy Institute where I work on many data analysis projects relating to Utah demographics. I rely heavily on coding in R and using ArcGIS Pro for this position. After graduation, I hope to find a job in policy analysis where I can apply my data-analysis and geo-spatial data skills. In a past life, I attended the University of Delaware. I graduated with honors and a double major in Finance and Economics. In school, I was the co-founder of a non-profit called Lazarus Rising that helps our homeless participants to get back to meaningful employment. After graduating I worked for a Homeless Shelter helping to implement a randomized control trial research study which was looking at the impact of rapid-rehousing for non-chronically homeless individuals.
